How To Prepare Cauliflower Crust Pizza

A light, low-carb twist on a classic favorite—this cauliflower crust pizza satisfies pizza cravings without the guilt.

Ingredients

1 medium head cauliflower, grated into rice-sized pieces

1 large egg

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ tsp dried oregano

¼ tsp garlic powder

Toppings of choice (pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, low-carb pizza sauce, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. Prepare the Cauliflower

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Add grated cauliflower and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring often, to release excess moisture.

Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

(Optional but recommended) Wrap cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible for a crisp crust.

  1. Make the Crust Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine cauliflower, egg, mozzarella, oregano, and garlic powder.

Mix until fully blended.

  1. Shape & Bake the Crust

Spread mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.

Shape into a thin, round crust (about ¼-inch thick).

Bake for 10–15 minutes, until lightly golden and set.

  1. Add Toppings & Finish Baking

Remove crust from oven and add desired toppings.

Return to oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Tips for Best Results

Removing moisture from the cauliflower is key to a crispy crust.

For extra firmness, flip the crust halfway through baking.

Let pizza rest for a few minutes before slicing.
