Ingredients:
For the “Cake” Layers:
2 large flour tortillas (about 10-inch)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
For the “Frosting”:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the “Cake” Layers:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place one flour tortilla on a baking sheet and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over it.
Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup pepperoni slices.
Add a second tortilla on top and repeat with the pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni.
Sprinkle the top layer with Parmesan cheese, oregano, and garlic powder.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Make the “Frosting”:
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Assemble the Layer Cake:
Once the pizza layers are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Spread a layer of the cream cheese “frosting” on top of one of the tortilla layers.
Add another tortilla layer on top, and repeat the process, layering the cream cheese mixture and pizza layers until all tortillas are stacked.
Finish with a generous amount of “frosting” on top and a sprinkle of extra pepperoni and Parmesan.
Serve:
Slice the pepperoni pizza layer cake into wedges like a regular cake, and enjoy this fun, pizza-inspired treat!
This savory “cake” is perfect for parties, pizza lovers, or just a fun twist on pizza night!
