A smooth, creamy pudding layered with ripe bananas and sweet strawberry puree — this dessert combines comfort and freshness in every spoonful. Whether you’re making it for a family gathering or just a cozy treat for yourself, it’s guaranteed to please!

Ingredients:

2 cups (480 ml) whole milk

½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ cup (60 ml) strawberry puree (fresh or store-bought)

1 ripe banana, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon vanilla extractWhipped cream (optional, for topping)Fresh strawberry slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the base mixture

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until the mixture is completely smooth — make sure there are no lumps.

2. Cook until thickened

Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly with a whisk or spatula.Continue to cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and lightly coats the back of a spoon.

Avoid boiling, as this can cause the pudding to curdle.

3. Add flavor

Remove the pan from heat and stir in the strawberry puree and vanilla extract until fully combined and the pudding turns a soft pink color.

4. Cool the pudding

Pour the pudding into a large bowl or several small serving cups.

Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly against the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until well chilled.

5. Layer with bananas

Once chilled, create layers by alternating pudding and banana slices in serving glasses or bowls. You can also add vanilla wafers or butter cookies between layers for extra texture.

6. Add the finishing touch

Top with a dollop of whipped cream and fresh strawberry slices just before serving. For a fancier look, drizzle a little extra strawberry puree on top.

Variations

1. With cookies: Add a crunchy layer using vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or ladyfingers.

2. Mixed fruit: Replace or mix strawberries with raspberries, blueberries, or mango.

3. Chocolate twist: Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder to the milk mixture for a strawberry-chocolate version.

Tips for Success

Use ripe bananas: They add natural sweetness and a creamy texture.

Don’t overcook: Once the pudding thickens, remove it from the heat immediately.

Chill thoroughly: Let it cool for at least 2 hours before serving for the smoothest texture.

Serve fresh: Add bananas and toppings right before serving to prevent browning.
