Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
1 can strawberry pie filling
1 package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- Spread the strawberry filling:
Pour the strawberry pie filling into the bottom of the baking dish and spread it evenly. - Make the cheesecake layer:
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the strawberry layer, spreading gently. - Add the cake mix:
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the strawberry and cheesecake layers. Do not mix. - Add butter:
Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Try to cover as much of the surface as possible. - Bake:
