
Inspired by Cadbury’s Flake, Daim Bar & the iconic Purple One from Quality Street
Introduction
If you love creamy caramel, crunchy chocolate, and rich hazelnut flavors, these decadent tarts are a dream come true! Each tart is loaded with silky caramel, caramelised hazelnut chocolate spread, crumbled Flake and Daim Bar pieces, then topped with clouds of fresh whipped cream and extra drizzles of caramel and chocolate.
They are perfect for special occasions, family gatherings, or when you want to impress your guests with a dessert that looks luxurious and tastes even better.
Ingredients
For the Pastry Tart Cases (store-bought or homemade)
6 small tart shells (shortcrust pastry)
For the Filling
1 cup soft caramel (dulce de leche or thick caramel sauce)
¾ cup caramelised hazelnut chocolate spread
(similar to the “Purple One” flavor – hazelnut caramel chocolate)
2 Cadbury’s Flake bars, crumbled
2 Daim Bars, chopped into small chunks
For the Cream Topping
2 cups cold heavy whipping cream
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For Garnish
Extra caramel sauce
Melted milk chocolate
Extra pieces of Flake and Daim Bar
Method
1️⃣ Prepare the Tart Bases
- Place your tart shells on a tray.
- Spoon a generous layer of soft caramel into the bottom of each tart.
- Add a layer of caramelised hazelnut chocolate spread on top of the caramel.
- Sprinkle crumbled Flake and Daim Bar chunks over the spread.
2️⃣ Make the Fresh Whipped Cream
- Add cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla to a mixing bowl.
- Whip using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Transfer the cream into a piping bag with a star nozzle.
3️⃣ Assemble the Tarts
- Pipe beautiful swirls of whipped cream onto each tart.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the cream.
- Drizzle melted milk chocolate for extra richness.
- Top with a chunk of Flake and a piece of Daim Bar for decoration.
4️⃣ Chill
Refrigerate for 30–45 minutes before serving so the layers set.
Serving Suggestions
Serve chilled for best texture.
Add crushed nuts for extra crunch.
