Black Cherry Jello Salad – A Sweet, Creamy, Crowd-Pleaser!

Ingredients:

1 (6 oz) box black cherry Jello

1 cup boiling water

1 can dark sweet cherries, drained (reserve ½ cup juice)

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1 cup cola (like Coca-Cola or Pepsi)

1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip), optional for garnish

Fresh cherries, optional for topping

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve the Jello
    In a large bowl, pour in the black cherry Jello. Add 1 cup boiling water and stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Add cherry juice + cola
    Mix in ½ cup reserved cherry juice and 1 cup cola. Stir well.
  3. Beat the cream cheese
    In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
    Slowly add a small portion of the warm Jello mixture and whisk until creamy (this prevents lumps).
  4. Combine everything
    Pour the cream cheese mixture back into the main bowl with the Jello. Stir until smooth.
    Add the cherries and crushed pineapple.
  5. Chill and set
    Pour the mixture into a serving dish or mold.
    Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  6. Serve
    Top with whipped topping and fresh cherries if desired. Slice and enjoy!
