Chocolate-Covered Pretzel Caramel Bites with Sea Salt

These Chocolate-Covered Pretzel Caramel Bites are the perfect combination of sweet, salty, chewy, and crunchy. Each bite has a buttery caramel center, a crisp pretzel base, and a smooth chocolate topping finished with a touch of flaky sea salt. They’re incredibly easy to make and perfect for Christmas parties, gift boxes, or a quick festive snack!

Ingredients

Pretzel squares or mini pretzels

Soft caramel candies (or caramel squares)

Melting chocolate (dark, milk, or white)

Flaky sea salt

Optional: crushed nuts, sprinkles, or drizzle of white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the pretzels in a single layer.

  1. Add the Caramel

Place one caramel candy on top of each pretzel.

  1. Melt the Caramel

Warm the baking sheet in the oven at 160°C (325°F) for 3–4 minutes, just until the caramel softens — not fully melts.

  1. Press the Top Pretzel

Remove from the oven and gently press another pretzel over each softened caramel to create a sandwich.

  1. Dip in Chocolate

Melt your chocolate in the microwave or a double-boiler.
Dip each pretzel-caramel sandwich halfway (or fully) into the melted chocolate.

  1. Add Sea Salt

Place them back onto the tray and sprinkle a small pinch of flaky sea salt over the warm chocolate.

  1. Let Them Set

Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
