Ingredients
(Serves 6–8)
Main Ingredients:
4 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, chopped into bite-sized pieces)
2 cups diced ham (cooked, leftover ham or deli ham works great)
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional for extra creaminess)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
(Optional toppings: crushed pork rinds or extra cheese for crunch!)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter or olive oil.
Step 2: Steam the Broccoli
Steam broccoli for about 3–4 minutes until just tender (don’t overcook).
Drain well and pat dry with a paper towel — this keeps your casserole from getting watery.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
Stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar and mozzarella, stirring until melted and creamy.
Step 4: Combine Everything
In a large bowl, mix together broccoli, diced ham, and the cheese sauce.
Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Top with remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese (and pork rinds if you want a crispy topping).
Step 5: Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
