Classic Steak Fajita Skillet with Peppers, Onions & Mushrooms

A mouthwatering one-pan dish loaded with tender sliced steak, caramelized onions, sweet peppers, and savory mushrooms. Perfect for fajitas, rice bowls, meal prep, or just eating straight from the pan!

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

For the Steak & Veggies:

350–400g steak (flank, sirloin, or ribeye), sliced thin

1 large onion, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

Salt & black pepper to taste

Juice of 1/2 lime (optional)

Optional to Serve With:

Warm tortillas

Rice or quinoa

Guacamole or sour cream

Fresh cilantro

Season the Steak

Toss sliced steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, and a bit of olive oil.

Let sit 10–15 minutes for better flavor.

Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add steak and cook 2–3 minutes per side until browned (slightly pink inside is perfect!).

Remove and set aside.

SautΓ© the Veggies

In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed.

Add onions, peppers, and mushrooms.

Season lightly with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.

Cook until softened and caramelized, about 6–8 minutes.

Combine & Finish

Add the steak back into the skillet.

Toss everything together and squeeze fresh lime juice on top.

Serve hot however you like β€” in tortillas, bowls, or straight from the pan!
