A festive holiday twist on classic tiramisu made with spiced gingerbread cookies, warm seasonal flavors, and a creamy mascarpone filling. Great for gatherings and make-ahead desserts.

Ingredients

Gingerbread cookies

Mascarpone cheese

Whipped cream

Powdered sugar

Strong coffee

Rum extract or vanilla extract

Ground cinnamon

Ground ginger

Ground nutmeg

Cocoa powder

Crumbled gingerbread (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee mixture:
    Brew strong coffee and let it cool. Stir in rum extract or vanilla extract.
  2. Whip the cream:
    Beat whipped cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Make the mascarpone filling:
    Combine mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
    Fold the whipped cream into this mixture gently.
  4. Assemble the tiramisu:

Quickly dip each gingerbread cookie into the cooled coffee.

Arrange a full layer of dipped cookies in the bottom of your serving dish.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top.

Add a second layer of dipped cookies.

Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture over the top.

  1. Finish:
    Dust generously with cocoa powder.
    Sprinkle crumbled gingerbread over the cocoa for texture.
  2. Chill:
    Refrigerate at least 4 hours (or overnight) before serving.
