How To Prepare Beef & Veggie Stir-Fry in Savory Garlic-Ginger Sauce

this dish is a classic, comforting stir-fry loaded with tender beef, broccoli, peppers, onions, and carrots—all coated in a glossy, savory, slightly sweet Asian-style sauce. Perfect for serving over rice or noodles!

Ingredients
For the Stir-Fry

1 lb beef strips (sirloin or flank steak)

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow/orange bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 large carrot, sliced

1 small onion, sliced

For the Sauce

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce (or hoisin for sweeter flavor)

1 tbsp brown sugar or honey

2 tsp cornstarch

1 tbsp rice vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp grated ginger

1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Mix the Sauce

Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, water, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.

  1. Cook the Beef

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok.

Sear beef strips for 3–4 minutes until browned but still tender.

Remove and set aside.

  1. Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add peppers, carrots, onions, and broccoli.

Stir-fry 4–5 minutes until crisp-tender.

  1. Combine Everything

Return the beef to the pan.

Pour in the sauce.

Stir and simmer until thickened and glossy (2–3 minutes).

  1. Serve

Serve hot over white rice, brown rice, noodles, or even cauliflower rice.
