Ingredients

For the Cake:

1 package white cake mix (2-layer size)

3 eggs

¼ cup water

1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling

⅓ cup vegetable oil (optional but recommended for extra moisture)

1 tsp cinnamon (optional, but delicious)

Optional Topping (recommended):

1 cup powdered sugar

2–3 tbsp milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:

Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  1. Prepare the batter:

In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil.

Mix until smooth.

Gently fold the apple pie filling into the batter.
(You can lightly chop the apples first for smaller pieces if preferred.)

Add cinnamon if using.

  1. Bake:

Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.

Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  1. Make the glaze (optional but very good):

In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

Adjust milk amount for desired thickness.

  1. Finish the cake:

Let the cake cool slightly—about 10–15 minutes.

Drizzle glaze evenly on top.
