Cheese Panetone Cake


A fluffy cake, fragrant and bursting with crystallized fruits — this Panetone Cake na Forma is simple to prepare and tastes even tastier than the traditional panetone. Ideal for afternoon coffee or serving at holiday parties, with that irresistible smell of Christmas in the air!

Ingredients:

4 eggs

1 cup (tea) of sugar

1/2 cup oil (tea)

1 glass (200 ml) of warm milk

2 and 1/2 cups (tea) of wheat flour

1 tablespoon (soup) of baking powder

1/2 cup (tea) of raisins

1/2 cup (tea) of crystalized fruit

1 teaspoon (tea) of panetone essence (or vanilla)

Coverage:

Confectioner’s sugar for sprinkles

Preparation mode:

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until it forms a light and fluffy cream.
  2. Add the oil and warm milk. Stir well.
  3. Add the wheat flour little by little, mixing until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.
  4. Gather panetone essence and mix.
  5. Whip the crystallized fruits and raisins in some wheat flour and add to the batter.
  6. Lastly put the ferment and stir gently.
  7. Pour the dough in a greased and floured rectangular form.
  8. Preheat oven at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown and pass the stick test.
  9. Sprinkle confectioner’s sugar on top after cooling. Tip: Add orange zest or chocolate drops to batter for an even more special flavor!
