One 7-9 pound fully cooked spiral ham
1 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the apricot preserves, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, and cloves until well combined. (5 minutes)
- Place the spiral ham cut-side down in a slow cooker. (2 minutes)
- Pour the apricot-Dijon glaze evenly over the ham, ensuring it gets into some of the crevices. (3 minutes)
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the ham is heated through and the glaze is bubbly. Baste the ham with the glaze in the slow cooker every hour to keep it moist and flavorful. (4-6 hours)
- Carefully remove the ham from the slow cooker and transfer to a serving platter. (2 minutes)
- Spoon any remaining glaze from the slow cooker over the ham. (1 minute)
- Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving. (10 minutes)
Pro tip: For a beautiful presentation, score the ham in a diamond pattern before glazing.
